Database Design as a Relational Practice was a performative workshop given at Rehearsal residency in Long Island, New York in August 2018. Participants were asked to use entity-relationship models, a foundation for database design, to outline a situation they considered to be difficult to resolve. Participants then used the design as a map for movement, by assigning a gesture to each box and a rhythm for each line. At the end of the workshop, participants moved through a map that they had no memory of making.
